In order to maintain a competitive edge in the marketplace, SPOL invests in the training and development of its employees. Human Resources Development focuses on both training employees for their current jobs and developing skills for their future roles and responsibilities. Staff training and development is treated with great importance in our Company. Annual training and staff development budget is allocated to empower our staff on technical know-hows, renewals of mandatory oil industry certificates, on-going university education support, international trainings and exposures and completion of Master’s Degree for management staff.

When it comes to SPOL’s real strength, it is our people who make this business. They are the clear and leading reason for our ongoing success. While our people bring in expertise and knowledge, we are dedicated to providing opportunities. We also aim to build strong, meaningful and lasting relationships with our employees. This makes for a committed and positive team that is supported to achieve great things, personally and professionally.

Our Graduate Trainee program is to recruit new graduates from recognised universities in the region and train them to be professional persons in their field of expertise and to develop good characters to be good citizens of Solomon Islands.

We believe in working as a team and supporting each other to understand and achieve our common goals.
